Mother Culture

Name:
Location: Texas, United States

I love my husband and children. I'm thankful I have been able to home educate our daughters and see them become vibrant young women. And then there are two young men, precious sons, who never cease to amaze or surprise me, a sweet daughter-in-law who puts up with all my "great advice" and a son-in-law who has learned not to blush! :) And, of course, 4, count them, 4 absolutely perfect grandchildren! Wow, my life is full and wonderful

WELCOME TO MY PLACE!

We all need a place to call our own, BUT I never thought it would be a "blog" online. :) I feel like I'm starting to walk in my daughter's footsteps. This is her kind of thing; although I guess today it is becoming my "kind of thing."

I wanted a place to share my thoughts on the "Mother Culture" that is slowly eroding away in our society.

First, I would like to introduce myself. I am Joni Rhodes, a woman, a wife, a mother and a grandmother. Life has so many seasons through which we journey. At the start of our journey we know little of anything except the warmth of that dark little womb to which we are attached. A secure, warm place with the constant sounds of our mother as she carrys us around with her. We hear the swishing of the uterous, the laughs and shouts and noises of the world outside the layers and layers of fluids and tissues that surround us.

Then, we hit the birth canal and on out into the light! Here a new journey/season of our life continues. I want to spend time talking with you all about the things that happen on our eternal journey and how important a MOTHER is in the journey of every human being! God, placed the mother in a very stratigic spot in life and we must be aware of what that "spot" involves. See you later. Joni, enjoying the journey of motherhood
